To start things off…. 10% of all wine sales connected to “Paul Rowe” will be donated to the St Jean de Brebeuf breakfast program.

This program serves an average of 400 kids 3 mornings a week healthy breakfast choices in order to start their day off right. Due to the socio economic needs of some of our students, this might be the only meal they consume throughout the day. The breakfast program is committed to providing healthy nutritional breakfast options to all of our students. How can you help?

Creekside Estate Shiraz a serious winner AGAIN!

Southern Ontario Sommelier’s Association has selected one wine each from 130 wineries for a blind tasting competition. Creekside 2010 Shiraz was among them and achieved not only the highest aggregate score for Best Shiraz/Syrah, Best Red of Show, but also Best Wine of the whole Competition! This humble little $16 Shiraz competed against wines priced as high as $45; Congrats to the winemakers for making amazing Creekside wines at any price! Worst grape harvest in half century in Europe leaves some vineyards high and dry

Looks like it might be a tough year for wine in Europe. On the other hand, Ontario looks quite promising…see next news report.

The Toronto Star’s Raf Casert Reports that “Drought, frost and hail have combined to ravage Europe’s wine grape harvest, which in key regions this year will be the smallest in half a century, vintners say.” Read full report here.
